My daughter lives in NE Washington DC there is a womans shelter in her neighborhood, six stories high. That big is another story. Walking the dog at 11 at night I heard a baby crying. I looked up and saw in a window a Christmas tree with about fifty lights. One thin string of light with a world of hope and light attached. I stood across the street from that window and admired the sprit that created that tree for some little ones probably unable to understand the circumstances of their lives but wanting a merry Christmas and hopefully a happier new year. I hope for them too. Merry Christmas friends.
