My daughters book is making a difference! Gloria Rose told me that she showed one to a preschool teacher who ordered two copies. One of her four year old students dressed as Mixie for Halloween in a handmade costume, wearing the little dress with the heart on it. The best part of this story is that this littler girl, who formerly insisted on having her hair pressed now wants a big fluffy head of hair like Mixie! She is owning her biracial identity, thanks to the adorable character created by Tiffany Harding Catledge.
