My dear brethren I want to begin by saying that we serve a great God, who is amazing. This last couple of weeks have been full of ups and downs. We got into Louisville Kentucky on Tuesday morning about one o clock. It was cold raining and water was seeping into our van making things cold and wet. That night we parked at a Walmart, and the next day we went to a fundamental baptist church in Louisville. I want to say a few words for my experience at Landmark Baptist Church. They refreshed my soul, the fellowship was amazing. The leadership there was a real blessing to my family and I as we had need of showers and a place to park the van. If ever you are in Louisville, wether passing through, or moving to this town, from everything I could see it is definitely the church to visi,t or become a member of. The first day in Louisville was wet as it rained all day and I must say that it was a little discouraging. However the next day was a little better and the family and I were able to get out and give tracts, downtown Louisville on Broadway street. Many folks received tracts with a willing heart and others not so much. I had a young man who appeared to be in a gang hold up my gospel tract and rip it in half throwing it to the floor. Louisville is a place that seemed to have churches everywhere but she is under attack by the forces of evil. As we were driving that day to hand out tracts there was a young black man standing in the middle of the road handing out what appeared to be newspapers. The wife said to me go see what he is handing out he looks like a street preacher in his suite and tie etc.. so as we pulled up we were informed that he was handing out literature for Islam. I went to hand this man a gospel tract when I realized all I had for tracts was tracts with the twin tower bombing on them. Need more tools for the sharing of the gospel. Black Friday was a mess in Louisville as people were already making lines in Walmart at 6 pm thanksgiving day. What has happened to this nation when we have taken Thanksgiving Day and made it evil by pursuing our own materialism rather than taking the day to give true thankfulness to the God and great King Who has already provided for our needs. My own soap box I suppose, but the Bible does say thou shalt not covet. The next day we went to downtown Louisville and were able to preach at there Christmas parade where we received both opposition from people who wanted me to preach the love of God without the wrath of God, and people there who also received the message rather well. Saturday we were not able to share the gospel in the open air because as we were seeking supplies for the van/ RV Valeries hand got slammed in the door of the van so we spent several hours at the ER to get tetness shot and have her hand looked at. I must say that by this time I was very discouraged and felt like giving up. However we stayed and had fellowship with the brethren at Landmark Baptist Church. Now I must say that I believe in Divine appointments, and I know that Sunday morning Gods plan in having us in Louisville was fulfilled. That morning I went into church having no clue of were to go, one of the staff had asked one of the members to find us a Sunday school class, and we went in not knowing where to sit. So after almost everyone had sat down the wife and I chose to sit down. Thats when the Sunday school teachers wife introduced her self. and asked the reason for our visit. As my wife told her we were traveling the south street preaching the women next to us elbowed her husband and said He is a street preacher. It was a divine appointment I tell you. That very moment I realized that the will of God was about to unfold itself in another mans life. Sean and his wife introduced themselves and latter asked if we could go to lunch with them and so although times are tight we followed them to there house about 50 miles back into Indiana. Yes, The fellowship and doctrine at Landmark Independent Baptist Church is that good. Sean goes three times a weak. Well after getting to Seans house I found out some odd coincidences. For example we both lived in and were raised in Wyoming. When I was teaching youth groups in bar Nunn Wyo Sean was as a young man being invited to Bar Nunn Baptist Church. Now the reason I have said this is to explain that God was using these thing to reveal his purpose for this divine appointment. Sean has felt led of the Lord to street preach for three years and God had led me to Landmark Independent baptist church for one reason. To confirm that call in his life. After we finished lunch Sean blessed us with some gas for the van and I asked him this question. When I come back through next year can I come to your corner and watch you preach. Sean said yes, and he finished by saying I am excited. As he well should be. God has chosen him for a very special purpose that I honestly believe that God will be working out more fully in his life. This last week or so in Louisville was a little rough but may I say this I know that God is going to do great things, We are now in Cleavland Tennessee and looking forward to going to the next town It is my hope and prayer that God will continue to give Divine appointments every where we go. Please pray for my family and I that God would supply a much needed better RV, and the finances to take care of our needs. Pray for Sean and Amanda his wife as they step out on faith to give the gospel in the open air to a world that is in much need of the truth. Pray also that God would give more Divine appointments. Your brother in Christ, Todd Fietkau 11
