My dearest brothers and sisters As Salaamu Alaikum Insha Allah this email reaches you in the best of health and iman. وَتَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى الْبرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى Help one another in furthering virtue and God-consciousness (Al Quran 5:2) I am pleased and hummbled to share with you all about the good news of finally finishing the Duaa book (See the attachment). All the praises are due to Allah (swt) for giving me the tawfiq and time to complete this noble project. Alhamdulillah in this educational journey I have learned a lot and my sincere thanks and appreciation is to Allah (swt) for opening so many doors for me to accomplish this task. May Allah (swt) accept this small deed from me and all of you who are great part of making this book a reality. At the beginning, I thought I will just gather a collection of various Duaa from Duaa books and go to a print shop and make few copies…. BUT Subhan Allah during this journey, Allah (swt) had different plan for me and the more I got into it, the more I realized how important this subject is. There were times during the writing of this book, that I thought I should stop and there is no need for duplicating other people efforts. Therefore I was consulting with few scholars to pursue or not…. Dr. Sahib Hamdullah Sayedi who reviewed this book word by word convinced me to continue. He told me that there are millions of book about Zakat, Salaat and still people are writing, because every author brings a unique perspective to the subject… Therefore I expand my research and readings to made sure this Duaa book becomes different from others. You can look to the book yourself and be the judge of this claim…. Here is the highlights of few differences 1) I made a title for each Quranic Duaas and mentioned the reference of which Prophet’s made this Duaa 2) I went to many Tafaseer and tried to discover the detailed explanation of the full context of each Duaa. So on lesson learned part of each duaa, I mentioned verses before and after to find what lessons can we extract from it 3) Added the 99 names of Allah (swt) with brief explanation and one verse where that name is mentioned. (I had 2, 3 verses for each name, but because the book pages got too much, I had to cut back and deleted most of them except one) 4) Made sure each Duaa has all the harakahs (i.e. صَبَرُوا ) so they become easy to read and the reader can pronounce them correctly 5) Added two chapters at the end of the book few important daily Azkar and Isteghfar 6) Added few Dari poems from Khuja Abdullah Ansari and others to give flavor for those who like literature 7) Spend good amount of time on formatting to make it more easy to read and appealable Insha Allah this book will be as a جزو اعمال باقیات والصالحات not only for me, but for all those who have participated in in various capacities including YOU. Alhamdulillah, today, I give the file to the print shop and Insha Allah the book will be ready in a week. Alhamdulillah this book went through many scrutinizes and close reviews word by word by Dr. Hamdullah Sayedi, Ustad Fazl Ghani Mogaddedi and Dr. Daoud Nassimi for the accuracy of translation, reference and make sure each Duaa is authentic. Sr. Sajeda Sultani played a big role of reviewing the farsi texts and grammar. May Allah (swt) bless all of them, their families and accept their efforts in the balance of their good deeds Insha Allah. Allah is my witness, as you all know, my pure intention for writing this book has been to serve and please Allah (swt) and have no desire (whatsoever) to take any kind of worldly credit out of it. Therefore again, I decided to dedicate this book to an Islamic organization (AAMO), so for those who are willing to support this project and contribute any amount towards the printing cost will receive a tax deductible receipt from a non-profit organization. The cost of printing will be $4991 (including tax) for 2000 copies (Each book $2.50 that has 346 pages).
