My dog is an idiot. Thats the nicest word I can come up with, giving him the benefit of the doubt that hes not turning into a jerk. After seven years with us as the worlds sweetest dog (and a couple of incorrigible cookie and M&M episodes), Roadie has decided that when Laura and I leave in the evening, we are never coming back. He is going to starve to death, even though he has just had dinner. So the only thing to do is knock over the heavy covered dogproof wastecan, string its contents all over the kitchen floor, and gorge himself on whatever is semi-edible. Tonight that included a few tiny pizza crusts, the tea from a big teabag, and most of the coffee from inside a Senseo pod. Thats all there was to make the effort worth his while. Thinking seriously of finding a new home for the old toot, with bids starting at a quarter and a promise to pay his new owner when I can afford to.
