My early bike race stalking is to start the year with Day 4 of the Bay Crit series and head over for the final day at Williamstown, which is the opposite side of the bay from where I live, so its always an adventure just getting there on the train, but thats another story (thank you big loud Maori shirtless man who belched like a trooper for his trip, for adding to the days highlights!) This criterium is thought to be the fastest crit in the world. Each time the camera motorbike came around, it would scrape the footpeg on the road and the Subaru support car would always squeal its tyres around the corner, adding to the excitement of seeing a bunch of cyclists hurl themselves at the final corner like their lives were depending on it. Heres some footage captured on the GoPro Hero 4. Some action is so fast, that where I used a slower frame rate, the action looks really weird and gives the effect that the cyclists are actually riding backwards.. (Or maybe I had been looking at each edit tweak too many times so it and the same affect as that video that circulates around about the London train..is it going forwards, or is it going backwards?)
