My election analysis: Obama had two years; after that, lame duck. When a president succeeds, as he did with ACA, Dodd-Frank, Lily Ledbetter, et al, it generates the opposition, while his supporters rest on their laurels. The relentless opposition has disabled Obama. Who would have thought the Senate could go from 60 Democrats in 2009 to 46 in 2015? Just 6 years, and the loss of 14 seats. In addition, he seems to get no credit for saving the economy, General Motors, the banking system, lowering the unemployment rate significantly, etc. Not sure why. BUT - 5 or 10 years from now, I think hell be held in higher regard. Funny thing is that he protected the wealthy (read Republicans), who are much more invested in a 17,400 Dow than average working folks. The wealthy, and not the workers whose wages have fallen, are the chief beneficiaries of his policies. He saved the mortgagers, but not the mortgagees. So - he never had the rich, and he failed to take care of the middle class and the poor (albiet he had no tools or help to do that - minimum wage increase, immigration bill, additional stimulus program, etc.). Result: Nov. 4, 2014 election landslide. And landslide it is. So.....wait till next year (2016, that is)!
