My family and I get to celebrate one extra holiday a year, that most other familys do not get. Its like a birthday of sorts. This day last year, our family and friends gathered at the court house to make our adoption official. There were a lot of tears, a lot of joy. Every year on this day, I will probably be filled with a lot of emotion.I have already teared up once today! I remember that day very clearly. Dominic spoke to the judge about being a astronaut, and Jakob very clearly spoke to the judge about how real super heros wear capes. It was hilarious. After we went for breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Whiting. It seems like yesterday that we just met. I remember looking at these two little boys standing in their foster moms kitchen. One was dirty from playing, glasses smudged and could barely speak, the other had maps in his hand and was eager to show me. We say down to a lunch of lasagna and garlic bread. They both had so much say they didnt even eat. I remember sitting and starring in awe thinking...THESE are OUR boys.... And now two years later being together, one year with a Forever Family day anniversary under the belt we are a family. This day...is the most important day of the year.
