My family does not only define me. They complete me. My number one priority is to be here for them. Political activities will always have to take a backseat to my obligations as a husband and father. There is no other way around this. If I win in office but fail to be here for them, then I am neglecting my most important role in life. So please excuse me if I cannot be everywhere. I am not a politician nor do I strive to become one. I am just going to be me. I am going to be that guy on Capitol Hill who will vote on bills based on their merit, regardless of who sponsors them. I am going to be that guy on Capitol Hill who will invest his budget on our precinct and community rather than on leased cars and junkets. And I am going to be that guy who will OPPOSE any special interest legislation that enriches and benefits a select few rather than our entire community. And at the end of the day when I have put in my time on Capitol Hill fighting for the good people of the CNMI, I will come home and continue to help my kids with their homework, take out the trash, mow and bushcut the grass, and tuck my kids in at night and tell them just how much I love them. That is how I operate. No job in this world will ever change this, whether I am working as a representative on Capitol Hill or as a program manager at Head Start. #familia
