My familys heart is breaking right now for Rafas (my nephew) motherly and caring nanny Ate Lyn. Her family ( 4 children youngest is 3 years old and husband) lives in Palo Leyte, which is the most devastated place after the destructive Yolanda. Their last contact was the night before Yolanda hit them at 5am in the morning, and ever since then, she couldnt get through anymore. All we could do is watch the news for updates regarding Leyte and Tacloban. The last time they talked, she found out that they were being moved to another evacuation center, because of heavy flooding in San Isidro school ( their first evacuation center) and after that there was no news. Until this morning, someone from their barangay was able to hitch a plane to manila that was coming back after a relief operations in a nearby place. His news was so heartbreaking and left us all in tears even though Ate Lyn was only with us for a few months. He said wala ng natirang nakatayong kahit ano sa lugar nila at madaming namatay dahil sa baha. Even their big church was taken down by Yolanda. The dam near their sitio got broken causing a 20 ft flood that we fear killed so many, even those in the evacuation center. We fear for her family and all the families affected and suffering now because of this catastrophe, please help us in praying for ate Lyns family that they maybe alive and well. And of course all the people affected by this calamity. Please for those who can read this HELP the people of PALO, LEYTE. They are isolated because no one can reach their hometown dahil sobrang liblib niya at mahirap puntahan. She will be leaving tomorrow for Palo, Leyte to look for her family and we PRAY that she will find them well and alive.
