My favorite moments in films are almost invariably those of spine-tingling, near suicidal heroism. The last ride of the Rohirrim in The Return of the King is the reigning champion. That scene NEVER fails to literally send a chill down my spine. Second is probably when the crowd wearing Guy Fawkes masks marches on Parliament at the end of V for Vendetta. So far, each Hunger Games film has managed to include a moment that makes this list. In the first film, it was riot that broke out in District 11 after Rue was murdered. In the second film, it was the ending where the music starts pounding as Katniss draws her bow and blows the shit out of the stadium. The third film follows suite with an absolutely incredible montage of the growing revolution and an assault on a hydroelectric dam set to a haunting folk sung by Katniss. By the time the dam assault started, by jaw was on the floor. Its by far the most powerful scene of the film. If you havent seen the movie yet, DO NOT listen to this song. Go see the movie right now. Its good, but even if it wasnt, this scene alone would be worth the price of admission. Its THAT good.
