My fellow VCU Students take note: First VCU raises the price of tuition, then they have added parking meters to every street that is within a mile from the school(oh and they do not give a warning as to when the parking meters are going up either) and now, the grtc transit passes that they used to give to students who commuted which were free, are now going to be charged to students. THE PRICE......$100 PER SEMESTER. PER SEMESTER. ARE you F*CKING KIDDING ME? HELL NO. Here is the article explaining they are letting students know about the grtc price change, and the last link is for the petition. wtvr/2013/07/10/vcu-charges-to-ride-grtc/ For us students who do not have cars, we relied on these passes to get us to grocery stores, train, bus stations, and to work.
