My first couple goes were short-lived since I had no understanding - TopicsExpress

My first couple goes were short-lived since I had no understanding of JRPGs, but of course eventually one game did stick. That game was FFX. Id never been so moved by a story in a videogame before, and at the time 50 hours to complete it felt like a lifetime to me adding all the more to the impact. To this day I consider Suteki da Ne to be the most perfect song Ive ever heard, because of that adventure. But there was just one problem: Suteki da Ne never got an official English localization. The singer, Japanese folk artist Rikki, was handpicked by Nobuo Uematsu for the song, and he felt her voice fit the role so well that no English version should be made with a different singer. The intention was for the emotion of the song to come through whether its audience could understand the words or not—and it did. But as someone who at the time was unfamiliar with the Japanese language and culture, I wanted an English version nonetheless. So I went on a search and quickly found the fan cover you can hear below. https://youtube/watch?v=ocdpPT_cycI#t=276
