My first ever coaching mentor taught me the importance of changing our environment to foster our productivity, recreation, rest and rejuvenation. We can all make little changes to our environment that when done, support us every day as our lifes journey continues. Today I am blessed to live in an amazingly beautiful home that nurtures me in every way. Many people who see this home say that I am lucky...but in reality it all it started not with luck... it started when I decided I didnt want the life most people lived. It started when I set a goal, saved $15,000 and invested $10,000 in my personal development (way back in 1983). It started when I put some inspiring pictures on the wall of my office. :) It started when I realised my current circumstances were of no matter! It started when I became clear that ALL that mattered were the thoughts that ran through my mind. It started when I read this in a sliver thin outward bound book that my dear friend (thanks Paige) gave to me before I left my home to travel the world by myself for two years: Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.
