My friend Cody Weir shared this. I had heard about it, but figured that facts must have been messed up from one ear to the next and theres no way that it actually happened, except it did. And he is a cop, which is the last paragraph here. If you read only the article, it just sounds like a Hollywood sitcom-level of horrible person who used up all of the worlds luck in one go by somehow not being charged with the murder of a child out playing. Phew, man did she get lucky, right? She then decided the best solution to the hardships that have been caused by the boys incompetent bike riding but not her negligence that has left a family childless, is to sue them. For $1 350 000. So much more than theyll ever have. Yes, shes suing the estate of a dead boy, who she killed. Again though, how is she even out on the streets and able to be arranging this lawsuit? I wondered the same. Was boggled even. Then I learned that the part that I thought could never *actually* happen outside of a movie is in fact true: HER HUSBAND IS A COP. WHAT?!?!?! As I said last week while outraged with my police experience, and definitely not expecting to be saying it again so soon, and in the exact same context: WHAT IS GOING ON?!?! Hell in a handbasket...I tells ya :/ torontosun/2015/01/10/teen-injured-by-suv-upset-driver-is-suing-him-too#.VLgsKF3iumk.facebook
