My friend, Mick Pletcher, will soon begin training to climb a difficult mountain. What I want to know is, why do people think they need to train to climb a mountain, but not train to reach difficult goals in life (successful relationships, fulfilling work, heath and wellbeing, etc)?" I ask my self this question every day as I watch people who refuse to train for life get the same result as an out-of-shape mountain climber: as they reach the limit of their ability, they hit walls which prevent their ascent to the top, which in many cases causes them to tumble back down to the bottom of the mountain.
