My friend Monica Bhavnani was married in a family who were all Ma devotees since a long time like Maharatanji, Billoji and her ex husband Deepak Samal who was with Air India. Monicas parents were Aga Khanis, so they did not know anything about Ma. It was because of Monica that they got to know. The first time her husband was taking Monica to Ma at Bhimpura ashram. Those days there was no road to Bhimpura; one had to go by boat and then climb a little hillock and reach the ashram. Monica was a tea drinker and she was dying to have a cup of tea when they were in the boat. She went on telling Deepak, her husband that on reaching the ashram the first thing she wanted was a cup of tea!! Those days, no tea, coffee were served in the ashram. They are considered tamasic drinks so no one was allowed to even bring it to the ashram. Here Monica went on talking about tea!! Deepak told her that she would not get that in the ashram and she should keep quiet and not menyion to anyone. Monica was upset! As soon as the boat reached the banks of the Narmadaji, Mas attendant or Sevika Chitradi came running down the hill shouting Who is Monica? Monica was very surprised that someone knew her name! This was the first time she was visiting! She said Me! Chitradi said Come on, Ma has said - As soon as she comes, first take her to the kitchen and give her a cup of tea to drink, she wants it and then bring her to My room!! From that very moment and day Monica was Mas devotee!! Are there any rules?! Rules are according to people. The rule is not universal. Jai Ma.
