° My friend and ally, Daniel J Gerstle is a documentary film maker, who has poured his heart and sweat into making this amazing documentary about a live music festival (first in over 20 years) in Mogadishu, Somalia - in collaboration with extremely talented and inspired musicians/activists who are seeking to empower Somali youth against extremism with music, art and self-expression. They have made a documentary about this project, which is soon to be released, yet some hurdles are met along the way, hurdles in human security as well as financial nature ... Somalia is amongst the most dangerous places on earth, especially for artists and musicians, because it has been forbidden since over a few decades.Yet here we have a handful of peaceful warriors fighting for the next generation, the future of their peoples - a cause well worth supporting. Together with my close friend Wolfgang Gangi, I have embarked on a little mission in relation to the Minding Development Project to do our part assist this endeavor, by creating a solidarity music compilation with tribal inspired electronic music (Tribal Sub Bass Music) with artists from my music sharing group, to help raise funds and awareness for this project. We already have 14 possible musical pledges from my favorite artists, of which I already received 5 tunes so far. Huge THANK YOUs to Kamikaze Space Programme, Clearlight, Khan Kurra, Steve Phillips-Durandal and Sixth Ape already!
