My friend posted this insight to her FB wall regarding Robin Williams. I thought it was too beautiful not to share. Im struggling today to process the loss of someone who brought so much laughter to so many faces. And its clear that no matter what your annual income, your position in society etc - nobody really knows how to make it work. Were all in this thing called life, and its awfully hard sometimes. Awfully broken. Sometimes those who do the most for others, who bring joy to so many, dont know how to grasp that joy in their own lives. I just feel that we all come dangerously close to this precipice of despair at times - that dark night of the soul when there seems to be little hope. If youre there today, for whatever reason, heres a suggestion: TELL SOMEONE. Someone that you can trust. If you cant trust anyone, tell a counsellor. Call a hope line. Walk into a church and find a preacher/priest/nun/whomever. We all come to this place in life where we need something or someone to pull us out. When the darkness seems too much to bear, shine a light on it by exposing it. Dont try to do it alone. We all need one another. ~Julie Rohr
