My friends Sammy Buck and Dan Acquisto - two incredibly gifted and smart musical theatre writers - have written one of my favorite musicals LIKE YOU LIKE IT, and they are raising funds for a studio cast album of the show!!! If youre in the biz, you know how obnoxiously expensive such a feat is. Sammy is the bookwriter/co-lyricist/GENIUS of SMALL TOWN STORY - a new musical that I have been developing via New York Theatre Barn for the past 4 years. I have always admired Sammy and Dans sense of humor, point of view, and theatrical magic, whether its their critically acclaimed childrens musical STINKY KIDS, the sensational and moving one-man show ...AND THEN I WROTE A SONG ABOUT IT that they wrote with Eric H. Weinberger, or their signature masterpiece LIKE YOU LIKE IT - a re-imagining of Shakespeares AS YOU LIKE IT set in the 1980s where everything ends up exactly like you like it.
