My golden retriever just had a grand mal seizure. It lasted more than a minute and was severe. Her eyes sunk back and she shook violently. When it stopped, she was panting hard and her heart beat very fast..... But after a minute or so, I called her name and she focused, looked at me, and lifted her head up and showed me she was ok. For about a half hour she was quite frantic and wouldnt sit still. She finally calmed down and is resting nicely. She is still panting but quiet. This is the third one, and by far the worst. Monday I will ask the vet about the possibility of seizure meds....... She said no last time..... We will see. Anyone with similar situation out there?
