My heart is in Juneau today for the inauguration of the unity party of Alaskas governor Walker/Mallott. I have a clear vision of my mom walking down to play the piano at the Red Dog Saloon;may she be there in celebratory spirit.The family home was across the street from the govs mansion for some wonderful years.Bill Egan was the gov at that time and was infamous for knowing everyones name;made you feel special!He at least knew I was a Kennedy kid.My father knew and was friends w/a few of the original constitution authors. Im thankful I spent my youth pre-pipeline.For whatever my vision and love for the state Im thankful that at least I feel we will be heard by the choice of Walker/Mallott.Its a new/now time to be innovative.I think we might consider what Wally Hickel proposed decades ago and idea was considered crazy.A water pipeline to America:we still have plenty of that.
