My hubby was in town last night and came straight away to see about Mom. They had a good visit and I took the opportunity to catch a 20 minute nap. She woke me in request for a needed trip down the hall, to which I hurriedly granted. Standing outside of the door, I heard her gasp. Hubby heard the same gasp and came running. She covered herself as we rushed in to help with the unknown problem. She had seen a snake. It was a very small snake, and unusually thin. She saw it on the wall and when she reached to pull her walker closer, it moved. That’s when she gasped. Hubby stepped out so I could prepare her for a return to the living room. The two of us went back and checked over, under, behind, inside, and around every inch of the bath. We even removed the vent covers and explored as far as we could reach. We found nothing. This creature had escaped into another part of the house. After her bath tonight, I sat her down and pulled the walker in front of her before I went to collect her pajamas. She called for me with a panic in her voice. I almost stepped on the little dog trying to get to her. It was back! It was right there on the wall! I saw it with my own eyes! It was the shadow of the cord leading to the brake on her walker. Geez
