My husband found this video, I have been battling this disease since 2006, it took over 3 years for the drs to diagnose me. Of course every dr I seen wanted to scream fibromyalgia in the beginning. A young PA who had recently learned of the disease is who actually ordered the appropriate blood tests to confirm his suspicions based on my symptoms. People with this disease may actually may appear to look fine on the outside but are actually suffering from this disease on the inside. There is no cure for this disease, basically all drs can do is try to manage the symptoms, the pain is excruciating some days and the effect it has on your eyes, mouth and skin due to the dryness is horrible. The disease also can affect organs which has been my case..my lungs. Sjogrens patients are very susceptible and high risk for infections which in my case I am prone for bronchitis and pneumonia quite often. I certainly pray that one day there is a cure for this dreadful disease. I have been blessed to have a wonderful husband who has been right by my side and always is here to help me deal with what each day brings.
