My husband just picked up his most recent masterpiece from the finisher. Its stitched on 18-count and uses an endless variety of silks and metallic with wool for the background. Its backed with a wine-colored velvet and has a 1-1/2 inch box all around (to allow more room for goodies). It has a silk and metallic twisted cord and a multi-colored silk tassel. I believe it is a Melissa Shirley piece. Im SO proud of his work! It took him only about four months to stitch -- hes the fastest stitcher I know.
