My husband, my 5 year old, my 14 yr old, & now myself are all sick with a respiratory virus. My step sons are gone this week. That only leaves my timid 12 year old. She cant do it all on her own. My husband was sent home from work, I work from home, and our little farm doesnt give sick days. Its not like we can yell out the door for goats to milk themselves & chickens to deposit eggs on the counter for us. I highly doubt my dog will work in the garden for us either. I have friends who tell us to just leave it for tomorrow, yeah right. Its a lifestyle, not a job, a chore, or an option to toss to another day. As we speak Im brewing a new batch of elderberry & astragalus root syrup to help us get better & I have Spiced Honey Peach Butter in crockpot thats going to have to be canned today. Im curious how others manage when sick.
