My husband was in an ATV accident. Allen fell 40 feet off of a cliff on to a boulder. Allen was in a coma & on life support & had many surgeries due to crushed ribs, punctured & collapsed lungs, pneumonia, fractured skull, broken spine, and many other injuries. The doctors all said it was a miracle he lived through the fall & that his minimum recovery time is a year. You can see 61 photos of this tragedy on my Oct 8th post. After being released from the hospital, Allen was diagnosed with brain damage & nerve damage, which will require more surgeries and extensive neuropsychiatry out-patient care. His brain damage has caused loss of memory and loss of being able to function on his own & has caused severe depression so he will also need to be treated for that. Allen is a good hearted man that donates to charities & helps everyone that asks him. Allen is a hard worker and an awesome husband & father. Allen had no type of benefits at his job so he has no income and doesn’t qualify for any help from the state or government because of Christy’s income and as a result the family’s income has been cut in half. The ATV Rental Company is suing them for $6900. And they can’t find an attorney to take their case because Allen signed waivers which are considered legally binding in Colorado and it would be hard to prove the ATV was faulty after falling 40 feet. Due to ongoing expenses of medical treatment not covered by insurance, legal bills, and every day expenses a fund has been established by Allen’s sister.
