My interesting story for today: An interesting story. My husband, Wes Thomas was working so hard around the house I wanted to surprise him with a shake from McDonalds. I drove into the parking lot and a dog, without a collar or leash was standing by the entrance. I immediately pulled in, got out of the car and spoke to the dog and had her come in the vestibule where it was cool. Inside the restaurant I spoke in English and Spanish-does anyone have a dog outside? A man who was getting a drink spoke up and said it was his. In my animal advocate way made it very clear how unhappy I was that the dog didnt have a collar, tag or leash and that it was wrong to leave her like that-as I was going to call animal control. He admitted his homelessness. While coming out with him, another woman started in on him, too. I told her he was homeless. She jumped in and said I have a collar I can give her and as I always carry a spare leash, (for these types of instances, or when a dog is running in traffic) gave him what he needed. I told him to wait. I drove home and back and gave him a bag of food for her (grain free, of course) and a water bottle thingie what turns into a bowl. Moral of the story. Be thankful that you are reading this story.....and that YOU have a home, a computer and a dog by your side.
