My last glance into your soul(As written during the siege of man, the great war in which the final bomb went off, killing us all)As we lie along the stoneCold and tortured, but not forever aloneWe gaze into the distance, to the edge of the worldThe horizon brightens, with a dense lightEven though we are well into the nightI clench harder onto your warm embraceAnd the only thing you see is a smile on my faceWe know the time has come, the end of manIt is the best outcome, to the earth’s master planWe see it spread through the wind and the trees,The fire of the missile, is loud and all the animals fleeBut you and I sit there, gazing and contentWe finally realize that our lives were well spentTo be there at that moment, together at lastAnd watching the world burn, not caring about the pastI feel your pulse quicken, the fire coming nearAnd to each other is all we held dearI feel the warmth of the fire, closing in on our fateAnd for once in your life, you feel no more hate.Longing for a quick and painless graceAnd all that you see, is a smile on my face
