My letter to Rep. Reid Ribble (R) WI To: Reid Ribble Thank you - TopicsExpress

My letter to Rep. Reid Ribble (R) WI To: Reid Ribble Thank you for including me on your town hall call this past week. I listened for about 40 minutes. Looking over my notes, the most disturbing aspect of the comments was the extremism and seeming loss of emotional control by so many, as they address the “Concerns of State”. I do understand the sources of such frustration. For example, do you realize how disingenuous you sounded when you said, “We had to pay Sen. Lautenberg’s widow $174,000, because IT’S THE LAW”? Think about the situation, the news had just made an issue of families of Veteran’s KILLED IN ACTION not receiving their benefits and then you say, “We have to pay $174,000 to a family worth $50 MILLION because ‘It’s the LAW’”? Nothing has become more meaningless than the phrase, “It’s the law.” President Obama has been very clear, by his actions, that he will pick and choose which laws to enforce, which to ignore, and which to change by executive orders. Therefore, the law has come to mean nothing, absolutely nothing. Our Judiciary is now held hostage by the power brokers who can hire the best lawyers or those who can make the biggest campaign contributions. The fact that this letter cannot stick to one simple point seems to prove how convoluted and corrupt our government has become. In your attempt to bring people together, you have a unique opportunity to step forward as a true statesman – being, first an American – revealing the path to a better America. I congratulate you on your improved posting on Facebook. I heartily believe that you must immediately begin an all-out effort to become Mr. Northeast Wisconsin, if you expect to have any chance at winning the 2014 election. If you do not plan to run, please let me know in a private message – it will save me some time in following you, and it will give me a chance to find an acceptable candidate who can counter the union/socialist/Democratic machine that is being put into place to dump Scott Walker and Ron Johnson. November, 2013, has become a CRITICAL month for Wisconsin Republicans. It is during this month that America has a “teachable moment”. People are ready to listen to the consequences of the Congressional lack of fiscal restraint and the invasiveness of rapidly expanding government regulations. Neither of these issues – where the money really goes, and the real cost of regulations by the multifarious agencies – Neither of these issues have been cogently addressed. Therein lies your opportunity to become a true American Statesman. Sincerely, Ken Dauer
