My local animal shelter is very small and very poor and overrun with doggies. If you have a little money and can help they need treats, towels (gently used is fine), dog food (including soft for the old ones with bad teeth and puppies). What I did was shop at Walmart and buy only the "Home Free" items which ship for FREE (I hate to pay for shipping) if you buy $45 and I sent it directly to the shelter at: Torrance Co Animal Shelter, 751 Salt Mission Trail McIntosh, NM 87032. I always think about how all 3 of my babies would have gone to this shelter and I would have wanted them to have a blanket to sleep on and enough food. Thanks!
