My manager once told me: You are not as willing to learn as other interns. Therefore, your learning rate is lower than others. You are smart, but you are on a slow engine which rejects the help from others to make it faster. This problem is deep inside you, and only you can solve it. So, work on it. So, I had spent some time to think about it. What caused this problem. It was not because of knowledge. I traced back and I found out the reason. The IMO medal in 2011 made me think that I was smart and I could figure out everything by myself, therefore I was less willing to learn and listen to people around me. In fact, I am currently lousier than a lot of students at the same year in the university (third year, to be exact). Therefore, if I can choose, Ill choose to be humble and keep learning rather than achieve something that people think it is exceptional, then sleep on it.
