My mom had a really big heart. She always did. Never met a stranger. Always willing to help others. Last night, I went to her apartment to look at pictures and it made me realize even more the person she was. I met my moms neighbor who had actually become a special friend to my mom. Perhaps her guardian angel and even more so his, I would say. She had been living there a lil over a year. Her neighbor was slightly disabled after suffering a stroke. Before he moved into that apartment he was homeless. He had no family except his mom in Ohio. He literally had no one or nothing. I walked in his apartment to thank him and I just broke down. He had no eating table, no air conditioning, and only an air mattress for a bed. My mom had cooked for him every night and he spoke of the happiness she had brought into his life since living there. Sadly, a friendship can mean so little to some but so much to others. We cried together as I thanked him over and over again. My sister and I decided to give him the couch and recliner my mom had just bought and her bedroom furniture and table. Thats what she would have wanted. God works in ways we will never understand. My momma may have done a lot of wrong in her life, but God reminded me last night of all the good she had done too! Im thankful for knowing that! Maybe it was another way to give me closure and peace. God is so amazing and if you dont know him, please do! The smallest blessings come in the biggest ways! As difficult as it is to understand why my momma was taken, God did answer my prayer and need. It may not be when or how i wanted it, but he did. Thank you Lord for ALL your blessings on me!!!!! Continue to pray for my family and me!
