My mom was truly the most amazing person you could ever meet. She fought for nearly 8 years after a diagnosis in 2007 that gave her an expectancy of 6 months. She never complained, never showed fear, never let the cancer take away her hope. She worried more about helping everyone else around her than she ever thought about herself. Thats just the way she was. So unselfish, so strong, so inspirational. She taught me so much and honestly was my best friend too. Not a day went by that I didnt spend hours hanging out with her at home or talking on the phone when I wasnt home. I will forever miss her more than words can describe, but I can look for peace in knowing that she doesnt have to fight this horrible, unfair battle that is cancer any longer.
