My moment of the day was a truly rare and lovely moment... When i arrived on my bike ride in Esslingen, there is a spot at the Central Bridge, which goes up quite steep... At least 9% and for about 70 meters... Most untrained people descend from their bikes to not look like total douchbags when they struggle to pedal their way up... While 200 meters away i was preparing to pump my way up when i saw a lady well in her 70s on a small bike... In germany we call it Klapprad. She looked like she was going to take the challenge... This impressed me massively and i slowed down to climb the hill together with her, while i was smiling at her and telling her that she has my full respect... This sweet old lady stood in the pedals and pedaled all the way up together with me in a reasonable speed while she was laughing and she also had enough breath to tell me while ascending, that not only young people can climb this little hill on a bike... we were both smiling brighter than the sun... I wanted to share this magnificent moment with all of you... I DEEPLY regret that i did not stop to take a picture of her and have a little chat... I was starving to death. It was late, i had 140 minutes in my legs without any food for the whole day and still 30 minutes to go... But i should have stopped. Well at least we shared this little sweet biker moment together... What an adorable lady!
