My mother Clara Adams, owned a pet grooming shop in St. Louis, MO. Once she met my father they made the decision to close down her grooming shop and move here to Crawfordville, FL. My mother like many others commuted to Tallahassee, FL where she worked for the then owner and head veterinary Dr. Jerry DeLoney of Crawfordwood, Northwood, and Seminal Animal Hospitals. Like most kids when they are young, I wanted to be just like my mother. I observed her talking and loving these animals, caring and building a bond with them. She taught me everything she knew about grooming. I eagerly absorbed and mimicked her every move. Soon I was off and running building the relationships that I saw her build of my own. When Dr. DeLoney decided to open Seminal Animal Hospital he asked me to join him. I was both surprised and honored for the opportunity. I worked for his as a receptionist, veterinary technician and pet groomer. When I was 21 my mother Clara passed away. She groomed in Tallahassee, FL for 22 years. She was loved by both people and animals alike. She was just 62 years young. When Dr. DeLoney retired, I decided to expand my knowledge of pet grooming and pursued a career at North Florida Animal Hospital (NFAH) with Dr. George Simmons. I was the head groomer for Dr. Simmons for 14 years. After 19+ years of grooming I decided to venture out again and open my own pet grooming shop. Crawfordville, FL has now welcomed Ms. Maria’s Grooming, LLC., located in the heart of town next to Talk O’the Town Deli. Our Goal here at Ms. Maria’s Grooming, LLC is to give my clients (your pets) the love and affection they deserve in a safe and friendly environment. They have the opportunity to roam around the shop interacting with our caring staff allowing our clients to be happy and stress free. We pay careful attention and listen to our clients owners to meet the needs of your individual animals. Here at Ms. Maria’s Grooming, LLC., we strive to meet and excel in all your pet grooming needs.
