My mother and I chatted on the phone for a few minutes last night. She was telling me about a James Patterson book, Christmas Wedding. The story is about a widow who is remarrying and her 5 children are coming home for the wedding. The woman has three suitors and no one knows which one shell marry. But, in the story the woman describes how she feels about their father, that her deceased husband is simply away and that hes not really gone. My mother said that it was amazing how the author out into words exactly what she was feeling. Mom said she feels that our dad is simply away. She feels that way mostly in the mornings and then again when shes in the sunroom and looks over at the sofa where our dad used to sit.
