My name gets consistently misspelled in writing by well-educated, - TopicsExpress

My name gets consistently misspelled in writing by well-educated, native speakers of English who are not dyslexic. This morning I received an email addressed to Tomamaso as a reply to a previous email signed by me as Tommaso. Why cant the writer just read and copy? What appears to be a banal mistake is a manifestion of an ideology of linguistic superiority, namely the belief that speakers of English dont need to care about spelling names that are foreign to their eyes. And no you cant call me Tom or Thomas! My name is Tommaso!
