My name is Abby and I am so honored to be receiving this scholarship. After having lunch this afternoon with Katie Hales family, it has opened my eyes to just how important education is, and more importantly how important womens education is. Id like to thank the family for this opportunity and not only for that but for taking the extra step to creating a genuine and personal experience for each recipient. I will be studying as well as playing soccer at the University of Puget Sound this year and am beyond excited to see where it takes me. Once again, couldnt be more grateful. --Abigail Buckenberger
