My name is Riley. I came from an Irish puppy farm with my best friend Leo. I was used for breeding. I have a genetic condition called Episodic Falling Syndrome. It causes my muscles to contract and I cant relax them. My body contorts and my spine twists, and my front paws come above my head. I remain awake and aware throughout, and I know when Im about to have an episode. I lived on the puppy farm for 4 years, and I will have passed this condition on to many of my puppies. I recently had to have an operation to remove an obstruction from my stomach. When it was dissected it was found to contain a compacted ball of woodshavings, which I would have swallowed while eating my food off the floor in the puppy farm. Although I was very ill, I was also lucky - had it not been found, I would certainly have died.
