My name is Vivienne Brient. I was a paying rider at the clinic held by Peninsula Quarter Horse Association. I am horrified by the aggressive confronting invasion of our horse event yesterday by Martin King and about 4or 5 other men. Those people had no regard for anyones safety, they were crude, aggressive, sarcastic and very intimidating to Michael and to the women who tried to stop them entering the arena that they had no right to enter legally. Two men ran at Jan and she tried to stop them pushing into the arena, I blocked them with my horse but later thought if they had of knocked or pushed her she could have been trampled. The whole time Michael remained calm, polite and was more concerned about the safety of his riders. I myself will be taking my own action towards channel 9 as I have been extremely upset to the point of tears over their invasion. I would also like to point out Michael recieved not one cent for this clinic. He supplied the mechanical cow and his time and expertise for free as he often does does to help people. I hope this does not go to air but if it does we are sure it will be edited in the sensationized manner in which these current affair programs are known for. Would Martin King jump the fence and have cameras and big hairy boom microphone into the horses faces at Flemington or The Melbourne Hunt Club or at a Packer polo event or an event Tracey Grimshaw was competing at???? This I and others would like to know. So at what level of horse competition or perseved socio-economic level gives them the right to endanger peoples lives.
