My nativity scene isnt up. We are currently baking our gifts. I have a dozen presents that need wrapping. The floor needs mopping and theres three loads of clean laundry laying in limbo on the couch. To say Im behind is an understatement. But my kids dont seem to notice or care. So I wont either. I dont think theyll register these things in their Christmas memories - just the fact they got to bake cookies, sing loudly, laugh freely, see their family and open presents happily. My house is never going to be a Currier & Ives print, and my family wont ever look like a Norman Rockwell painting - but I think well make do.
