My niece, who is not a pilot, was amazed at the comparison I gave between my Honda Civic and my Mooney. They both have seats for 4 and a 200 hp 4-cylinder engine. But the Mooney, which costs ten times as much as the Civic has no A/C, alarm, anti-lock brakes nor airbags. No horn, remote locking, CD player nor turning signal. The airplane has only three tires and no spare. No sunroof and no gearbox. Just to name a few!
