My nieces are brilliant. The youngest of them sneaks ajwain and jeera from the kitchen, the others mouth waters at the sight of salted narthangai, a third pulls the most amazing sour puss faces when her mom feeds her curds, the fourth will eat anything her mom thrusts at her and the fifth uses every attempt at feeding to reassure herself she is the centre of the universe. My one nephew, finally, at the age of ten, learned that he could mix the rice and sambar with his fingers without permanently damaging himself. They are each so different and so adorable, I kinda wish my brother and sisters had half a dozen more kids each. I try suggesting it but get stared down. #Happy Childrens Day
