My number is 12, but I really dont think there are 12 things people dont know about me, or would care to know! LOL! 1. Even though I graduated from Alabama with a degree in Elementary Ed. in 1995, I worked as a mortgage underwriter for 7 years, then stayed home with my kids when they were little. I didnt begin my teaching career until twelve years after I got my degree. 2. I moved to Florida at the age of 22 by myself, without knowing a soul. I lived there for almost 10 years. 3. My favorite childhood memories are the years we lived in Slapout, Alabama. 4. I didnt go to my senior prom, have a big/real wedding (either time :)), or pledge a sorority in college. None of these decisions have ever bothered me. Im thinking I was always a rebel. 5. I hate cats. Im scared of cats. Cats gross me out. 6. I feel the same about pet birds. Yuck. Pets that poop indoors disturb me. 7. My first car was a used white 1984 Nissan Pulsar NX, complete with the flip-up lights, pop-up sunroof, and a microscopic backseat. I blame that car for my need to only drive something big nowadays. 8. I have ALWAYS gone Black Friday shopping. I mean ALWAYS. We are talking grade school, people. My family has been taking this seriously for DECADES! 9. Im scared of the dark. 10. I dont walk around the house barefoot. I must wear shoes. All the time. Any kind of yuck or dirt on my feet grosses me out. 11. I was this height and shoe size in 7th grade. It was not cool. At all. 12. My Dad taught me to waterski when I was 11. I loved to slalom. I skied with the Water Ski Team at The University of Alabama on tiny Lake Harris. It was a private lake down a long dirt road in the middle of nowhere, and I learned to change clothes (in and out of a swimsuit) while wrapped in a towel in less than 60 seconds. I think if you comment, Im supposed to give you a number. Thanks Kathy Ward for giving me 12 - I blame you for this book! :)
