My opinion...for us who raise chickens and fight them..it is a BIG deal...this is sheer hypocrisy. I remember when I was invited for a talk on my stand for our culture... I simply said...on a positive note if the sport is legal and if these great presidents of the United States were alive today, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln etc. cockfighting would have been one of Americas biggest attraction imagine a World Championship held in LAS VEGAS wow!!!! Here in the Philippines every January we hold the WORLD GAMEFOWL EXPO and the WORLD Slashers Cup establishments in the vicinity of the event like hotels, restaurants and the like are fully booked and the cash registers are ringing. I cannot imagine why it is not acceptable to fight roosters when we slaughter them by the millions every day. Critics can say what they want but it is clear that what they do is hypocrisy in the highest order. On a negative note, I just cannot imagine these pillars of democracy being sent to jail because they love to fight chickens. What is happening to the world...???? Visit the WORLD GAMEFOWL EXPO this coming JAn.16, 17 and 18 2015 and see for yourself why this country is a paradise and a mecca of cockfighting in the world.
