My parents: I just want everyone to know how awesome my parents are. I know it is the job of a parent to all that I am about to brag on my parents for doing ... but my parents have done all they do with love, wisdom, and encouragement as well as a stern hand. I can only hope I get it halfway right with my own kids. My parents have shown and given their love to ALL they encounter. They have forgiven selflessly. They have given of themselves endlessly. They exude Christ and the fact that He is first in their everyday life and take every opportunity to let others know about Him. They have loved me, as well as, my siblings, nieces, nephews, grands through their darkest moments, almost always with a smile, a giving hand, a loving heart, with advice, and ALWAYS with a hug. God blessed me immensely when He gave them to me. I love you both more than I could ever put into words. You should be proud of all that you have accomplished with your family. I look up to you and I thank God for you daily!!! Dad...youve taught your children with strength, wisdom, a firm yet loving hand, and by example. You pushed us to be responsible and even if we make the wrong choices...youve still stood by us. You dont judge, and you do not hold grudges. You still .. at the age of 7? play with the grands and great grands just as you did with us. Antagonizing them and just being a big ole kid yourself. Mom...you have taught your children with strength, you were a healer, even with a prayer or a kiss or a bandaid, you have shown your love for God and have maintained a strong commitment with Him You devoted yourself to your family SELFLESSLY. You never cease to amaze me with all you do. I hope my children see what I see in you. Lastly .. I pray that each and every one of my siblings, children, neices, nephews, grandchildren, greatgrands know JUST how much you have done for us ALL, and I feel certain they do. I am blessed!
