My phone rang & it was a 717-477 number... instantly my heart swelled. I thought, who in the world is calling me from Ship U? It didnt matter, because I was going to answer either way. It was a sophomore Human Comm major & we chatted about his involvement with the school, how to boost his resume for when he graduates, the references he needs to be getting now & how he wanted to be an RA but never followed through with it. I told him how my Shipmates & I got together last year for our 5-year reunion & took a tour around campus. He said it was awesome that we were still in touch. Made me so nostalgic, hell never have any idea. I told him what I tell everyone about college... you find yourself there. The friends you make are friends for life because they get to know you as YOU are getting to know you. There is no bond stronger. We talked for nearly 10 minutes, bless him & then I told him to go to Wibs for me when hes old enough. ;) Love that university & my college friends/experience with my whole heart. #shipalum #keen #loveinthisclub
