My poppa never told me fairy tails he only told the truth, so I was always a fan of satchel page instead of babe ruth, He named me after Macolm X, like a target on my back, cause he knew that in the future I would always be black, most people would never see my quiet side, the spastic comic geek. he knew racial outcome of this country would be bleak. But he taught to never judge a man by the color of skin, even after attending funerals of several of his kin, family members lost before they ever got to live, hangmans noose or a burning church how many lives we give, some might take it as a pity party or spout of victimhood, I see it as a fact of life, this shit is not good, Im so tired of the madness, Im sick of all the stress, so I turn to poetry to get things off my chest Im rhyming from a place love I have to show respect, weve come a long way and were nowhere fished yet.
