My pregnant wife, Denise, and I woke up around 7:00 on Thursday, January 28, 2010. Something was wrong. Denise was bleeding, and the baby wasnt moving. I rushed her to the hospital. After some quick tests, and a sonogram, Dr. Panwar said the umbilical cord was wrapped around Brandons neck, and tied in two knots. We were on the third floor of the South Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital. My mom was dying of cancer on the first floor. Dr. Panwar said he needed to do an emergency cesarean section, or my son would die. Then, he said that there was a chance that the cesarean would kill Denise. I lost it! I broke down, and started crying like a baby. I was in no condition to make a decision like that. God had already made up His mind. He was going to take my mom. Thanks to Dr. Panwars quick, instinctive actions, I was able to keep my wife and my son. Thank you, Dr. Panwar. May your kind, gentle soul rest in peace.
